"Drink To Me" (from Torino) plays in Oslo!

Drink To Me is a band of young musicians from Torino in Northern Italy. The "Rolling Stone Magazine Italy" calls them "One of the best Italian bands” today.

After playing all over Italy and having received enthusiastic acclaim finally Drink To Me landed on UNHIP records, Italy’s finest independent label in ages. Brazil, the new album, marks a change in their sound and songwriting. They have grown for good. Brazil puts the rock matrix in the background, while the electronic side takes over and the writing focuses on kraut-minimalist repetition and a rhythm section that takes from Brazil as well as West Africa. They didn’t forget about the pop song kind of structure though! Drink To Me is devoted to the real challenge of reconciling madness and experimentation with pop songs.

"Exhibiting Europe" in Oslo

Conference 7-9 April 2011 at Interkulturelt Museum, Oslo on: "The Development of European Narratives in Museums, Collections and Exhibitions"

Guido Vaglio (Museo Diffuso) from Italy partecipate at the Panel: "EUROPEANS ON DISPLAY“.

Exhibiting Europe links research on processes of migration, musealisation and Europeanisation. Any museum representing the history and histories of European integration has the inherent potential to be an important forum for defining a common European heritage. This conference will ask if and how discourses on Europeanisation are put on display. How do they manifest themselves in permanent and temporary exhibitions? How do they affect the planning of new museums or transform the policies of existing ones? The conference will bring together academic experts and museum practitioners from all over Europe to explore the ongoing production of European narratives in the museal field.
